Trying to cut carbs but longing for pasta?

I love pasta, but the carbs are just killing me.  I've tried to enjoy healthier pastas, but there are not many whole grain pastas that I enjoy.

A few years ago I found shirataki noodles.  They are made out of tofu/yam products, have zero carbs and almost no calories.  It comes in a bag of liquid and is very easy to prepare.  Basically you open the bag, rinse the noodles and boil for 3 minutes.  They are V-E-R-Y filling so what looks like a serving for a fashion model will actually feed several people.
Shirataki noodles have a slightly softer texture.  I liked it right away but it took my hubby a few tries before he liked it.

Shirataki noodles can be found in the refrigerated section of many 'health food' stores, as well as the organic sections in may grocery stores.  There are also many varieties available at your local Asian market, too.
