Do you have a spice mix that you tend to prepare over and over? If so, rather than making it each time you prepare your recipes, make a lot of it and keep it in an airtight container. Just make sure to label it so that you know what is in the container.
I often make six month's worth of a spice mix that I use a lot. It saves time and the spices still stay fresh.
