Today's Kitchen Tip: Stop greasing and flouring cake pans

I love to bake and have greased and floured my cake pans since I was, well, knee high to a grasshopper.

I never liked sticking my hands in the shortening to rub into the pan.  Even putting the shortening on waxed paper still made this a messy task.  I also  always hated the way that the goopy flour and shortening mixture stuck on some cakes....especially bundt cakes.

Rather than greasing and flouring the pan, you can use Pam baking spray. It has oil and flour in it so cakes do not stock.   Just spray it into the pan and your cake will come out perfectly.   You will never see the unsightly flour 'schmutz' on your cakes again.
