Today's Kitchen Tip: How do I check the flavor of homemade salad dressing

Have you ever made a homemade salad dressing and tried to taste it to make sure it's perfect? 

If you taste it with the dressing in a spoon (or your finger for that matter), the dressing may not taste great.  However, when you use a piece of lettuce to test the flavor, you will get a more true idea of what the dressing will taste like on your salad. 

Keep in mind that some dressings will need to sit for a few minutes for the flavors to meld.
