Today's Kitchen Tip: Help! My brown sugar is one big clump

You're getting ready to make cookies and you pull out all the ingredients.  You open up the bag of brown sugar and find that rather than soft and squishy sugar, you find you have a big lump.  What do you do?

There are a few things you can do to fix this.  If I need the sugar right away, I take the lump and put it into a microwave safe bowl in the microwave.  Then I microwave it for a few seconds.  Test to see if the sugar is softened.  If not, try it again until your sugar has softened.

Watch for our tips on how to prevent your brown sugar from becoming one big lump.
