Special K Pumpkin Spice Mini Wheats Review

We recently received a few samples of Special K limited edition cereals to try.  We already reviewed Special K Cinnamon Crunch and now it’s time to review Special K Pumpkin Spice Mini Wheats.

As we always do, we sampled some straight out of the box.  I expected to be hit over the head with the pumpkin flavor…but I was not.  It was good, but not really as ‘pumpkiny’ as I had hoped for.  When we added milk, we released a little more of the pumpkin flavor.  However, it was still a more subdued pumpkin flavor…good, but not fabulous.

The stats on this cereal are 190 calories for each 25 biscuits with 5 grams of protein…even before adding milk.  It also has 12 grams of sugar and 6 grams of fiber and is made with whole grains.

If you like mini wheats, you will enjoy this limited edition cereal.  I might buy it again as a special treat, but if I had to choose between the two I just reviewed, the Special K Cinnamon Crunch would win out.

Review of Special K Cinnamon Crunch Cereal

With fall coming soon, it seemed like the right thing to try.  I hoped that eating this ‘fall’ cereal would make the 110 degree heat we were dealing with seem cooler.  That did not happen, but the cereal cannot be blamed for that.

I recently received a box of Special K Apple Cinnamon Crunch Cereal to sample and review.

New Special K apple cinnamon crunch cereal has crunchy rice and wheat flakes with apple crumble clusters and the delicious taste of cinnamon.  This cereal is truly a comfort food.  I always start out by tasting cereals right out of the box.  I have to say, I couldn’t stop munching this one.  It was sweet and crunchy and had little white clusters of apple deliciousness mixed in.  I almost did not want to put it in milk…but I had to.  It was still really good eaten like it was intended to be and loved how the cereal stayed crunchy when mixed in milk.

I sample a lot of cereals and really like most of them; however, this one seems to be rising to the top.  I loved it and do not think that this limited edition cereal should be limited to the fall.

For the product details, for each ¾ cup, it contains 120 calories, 9 grams of sugar and 2 grams of protein.

I would run, not walk, to your local grocers to find this cereal.
