I am trying to use my crockpots more but for the time it saves me in food preparation, it takes me much longer for clean-up. The ceramic insert can be very difficult to clean with the baked on food. I have scratched up the interior of a crockpot trying to scrape off the dried on goo.
I found that there are a few things I can do. I have had good luck with spraying the interior of my crockpot with cooking spray. That works pretty well.
What works even better is a crockpot liner that lines the interior of the crockpot so all the goo gets on the food safe liner. They are available at grocery stores snd are not very expensive. I try not to use my crockpot without using a liner. Clean-up is easy. Remove the food from the liner then throw the liner away. Clean-up is a breeze.
We are the place to find lots of tips for the kitchen. A new topic will be published each day.
